Nearly 300 people laced up for the Howden Ashes 5km and 10km runs.
Roughly 200 adults took part in the races, including Della Hatfield who was the first athlete across the 5km finish line in the 5km race while Dave McKinnon was the first man across the 10km line in 34.44 and Venika Moverley not far behind him with 39.03. Funrun winner was reigning champion, 10-year-old Lochlan Pearson. Amongst the runners was the Ray family featuring Kay, Roger and Imogen, who recently conquered the London Landmarks Half Marathon. Dad, Roger, said: “It’s very cosy, very family oriented and lovely to be back at home running in the East Riding.”
